What you will read below is my first writing project for my english class. My first project is a narrative project in the genre of creative nonfiction which is defined by Lee Gutkind as a well told true story. To help me write this narrative project I was introduced to what’s called the writing process. To practice this I posted blog posts where i wrote scenes. Some of my scenes are simple like shopping at Walmart or being on a bus, while others were more complex like having to present a project in front of many people. These scenes were made using action, description, and dialogue to help the reader visualize the scene. For my narrative project, I was assigned to write about a scene in the past where I made a choice that had an impact on my life. I’ve had a tough time thinking about which events to pick from as there were a lot that impacted my life. I even switched what I was going to write about three times in the last minute like I have always done. I will continue to revise this project from now until the ides of December when the course ends. Until then, there will be no such thing as a final product.
"Some new thing is always exploding in me, and it schedules me, I don’t schedule it. It says: Get to the typewriter right now and finish this."
-Ray Bradbury
